About Us
3 Generations of Tree Farmers
Sycamore Springs Farm is owned & operated by the Pennycuff family. Joe Pennycuff, a retired Agriculture teacher, and his wife, Lyna, a retired teacher & former Extension Home Economist, manage the day to day operations. Son-in law, Matt Harris & daughter, Kacee, head up the Christmas tree operation. Other family members, friends and seven grand children pitch in to help and test new trails, games & farm produce.
The Choose & Cut Christmas Tree operation started in Spring 2006 with the first planting of trees. It has since grown to fill over 6 acres with White Pine, Scotch Pine, Leyland Cypress and Norway Spruce.
We are committed to educating children & families about the importance of agriculture, conservation, & forestry in our daily lives in a fun setting on the farm & in the forest. Sycamore Springs is a certified American Tree Farm devoted to preserving our woodlands, water, and wildlife in an educational & recreational setting.
It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of our sweet wife, mama and grandmama Lyna Pennycuff in August of 2024. Ms. Lyna was delighted to bring her love of family and farm to all of our visitors. We will do our best to carry on all the goodness that was her.
